Henry F. Coyne, Esq.

   Henry F. Coyne is  proud native of the Anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania; originating from Locust Gap, a small "patch" on the outskirts of Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. Attorney Coyne is a graduate of Gettysburg College where he was designated Distinguished Military Graduate, Army R.O.T.C. Following college, he received his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law in 1966.

Since 1968, Mr. Coyne has been engaged in the General Practice of Law in Cumberland County with an emphasis in estate planning, land use and zoning,           and municipal law, and Civil Litigation.  

Mr. Coyne is the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of his dedication to the legal profession and to the community he serves.  Most recently,    Mr.Coyne served as President of the Cumberland County Bar Association and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cumberland County Bar Foundation.  Mr. Coyne was also the Chair of the Editorial Committee for the historical publication of Cumberland Justice: Legal Practice in Cumberland County (1750-2000) and a contributing author to the publication.  

In 2000, Mr. Coyne was one of the founding members of the Cumberland County American Inns of Court and he is presently a Master of the Inn, having served as the President of the Inn.  In 2011, Mr. Coyne was awarded the Distinguish Member Award by the Cumberland County Bar Association in recognition for his dedication to the legal profession and the steadfast ideals he epitomizes as a lawyer in Cumberland County.  

Admitted to practice before all Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania, Mr. Coyne is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers in America, and the Cumberland County Bar Association.  An accomplished advocate, Mr. Coyne has argued cases before trial courts throughout Central Pennsylvania and before all appellate courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to include the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Coyne is retired from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Colonel after having served 32 years of combined honorable duty with the United States Army and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.  Mr. Coyne currently serves on the Scholarship Committee of the Pennsylvania National Guard.  

Mr. Coyne is married to the former Eileen B. Bach of Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania and are the parents of four children and the proud grandparents of nine grandchildren.
